The Dubai Police have rescued two exhausted tourists, who got stranded while trekking a mountain in Hatta. The tourists from Australia and the UK aged 58 and 55, respectively, felt tired as they were trekking the mountain.
The police used drones with thermal cameras to locate the missing tourists. A helicopter was dispatched to airlift the tourists to the Hatta Hospital.
They were unable to climb down the mountain as it was getting dark.
Colonel Mubarak Al Ketbi, Director of the Hatta Police Station, said the police were alerted that the tourists had not returned after going on the trek in the Wadi Al Dahab area.
The mountain has multiple roads leading to it and the police combed the area for clues, before using the drones.
