The mistake delayed the exam by two hours.A source at the Ajman Education Zone said the error was caused by a non-Arab employee, who was responsible for printing question papers.
Issa Hamid, head of the examination unit at the Ajman zone, said he received a call from the instructor of mathematics informing him that the exam papers distributed to students of grade 12 was instead the model answers for students of grade 11 in all schools. A circular was immediately sent to stop the exam process and to use alternative exam papers.
He said it was a big mistake which was solved quickly. Only two schools distributed the answer papers to the students while all other schools had found out the mistake. The students finally started the exams at 10am instead of 8am.
“We asked the schools to let the students remain in their classes until 10am and instructed the transport services to tell the bus drivers to came two hours late to drop the students home due to what had happened.”
