A new international school will soon take shape in the Sobha Hartland area of Dubai, 3km from Burj Khalifa and within the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City.
The Hartland International School in Dubai, backed by Sobha Group, will be the company’s first venture in starting schools.
Speaking about the launch of Hartland International School, Dr Paul Silverwood, head of the new school, said: “We wish to make each lesson and activity fun, interactive and highly enjoyable for all children as they grow in confidence and develop a love of learning.”
The school is being launched at a time when the UAE is set to be a major driver for the region’s education sector with 30,000 new school places expected in Dubai over the next two years alone.
With a built-up area of 30,807 square metres, the school will operate under the National Curriculum of England through an innovative, day-boarding model and students will be prepared for International GCSEs.
Students graduating from Hartland International School in Dubai will also be provided with the option to study for an International Baccalaureate Diploma.
Enrolment for the September 2015 start date has commenced at the ‘Discovery Centre’ on the 5th floor of Sobha Sapphire tower in Business Bay.
The ‘Discovery Centre’ is designed to give parents and prospective students a first-hand experience of the school as well as all elements of the facilities. Students will be admitted from the foundation stage (FS1 & FS2 for ages 3 to 5) all the way up to the sixth form (Grades 12 and 13 for ages 16 to 18).
