The Dubai Municipality as part of its continuous efforts to ensure food safety measures in public life style and to rise health levels of schools students of Dubai, has issued instructive poster for healthy school lunch kit.
The new poster titled “School Lunch Kit” includes information regarding healthy food habits to be maintained when preparing lunch kits for children in all phases of schooling.
DM has come up with a number of publications of which a informative/instructive poster is the recent one, said officials with Food Control Department.
Instructions to school canteens include not to sell soft drinks, energy drinks, fruit syrups, milk and yogurt with artificial flavours, lollipops and chewing gums, confectionaries with sugar and artificial colour, chocolates, food with sodium glutamate content, high fat foods and chips. A list of food items to be ideally made available in the canteens also mentioned in detail.
Dubai Municipality had started various awareness programs in this regard ,including lectures and workshops.
