The new appointees will teach English, Arabic and Islamic education subjects. They also include Kindergarten teachers, Learning Resource Centre (LRC) specialists, social workers and psychologists.
The recruitment efforts focus on providing schools with highly qualified educators, teachers and specialists in order to help implement the Adec’s 10-Year Strategic Plan aiming at developing the educational system in the emirate.
“In preparation for the coming school year, the recruitment of a second group of Emirati school staff covering all specialisations will be announced sometime in July. Recruitment is carried out in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council,” said Dr Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Director-General of the Adec.
All newly appointed teachers have obtained a Bachelor’s degree with “good” scores and have good computer skills. Candidates also met the required level of English skills as reflected by their IELTS scores and passed the interview conducted in March.
The approved list of candidates will be posted on the Adec’s website in a few days. The candidates are required to contact their respective regional offices in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain or Al Gharbia to finalise their employment procedures.
