“The students will be granted Dh20,000 as incentive award, in addition to a number of scholarships,” said Mohammad Salem Al Dhaheri, executive director of School Operations at the Abu Dhabi Education Council (Adec) on Wednesday.
An honouring ceremony for the Emirati and non-Emirati top students attending public schools and the Institutes of Applied Technology (IAT) will be held at the Emirates Palace Hotel on July 9. Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Presidential Affairs and Deputy Chairman of Adec will attend the ceremony.
The students were shortlisted for meeting the criteria and for achieving a minimum score of 98 per cent. The ceremony will also honour Emirati special needs students who achieved a minimum score of 95 per cent.
“Scientific and literary section students as well as IAT students from all educational zones and regional offices across the UAE will also be honoured,” Al Dhaheri said.
