The teen died in the beginning of June after one of the cars he was filming in a street racing flew off the road and hit him in Al Ain city.
It is believed that the teenager was making a video of the cars racing on the road while standing on the pavement.
The victim was killed on the spot, while the driver was sent to the hospital.
Col Ahmed Al Zuwaidi, director of the traffic department in Al Ain, said patrols arrived at the scene within minutes and caught the man who caused the accident. The driver of the other vehicle was also arrested after fleeing the scene.
Some others who were racing were also arrested.
The incident sent shock waves across the city. People from all sections of the society voiced the need for awareness about the risks of street racing that can have deadly consequences.
