The Dubai Police revealed that serious crimes have plummeted to a 10-year low in Naif area, Al Bayan reported on Tuesday.
Brigadier Tariq Tehlak, director of Naif Police Station, said that the implementation of the new 'Smart Forensic Analysis' Programme has prevented many crimes and led to very positive results. He added that the serious crimes dropped by 16 per cent by the end of 2019.
The new programme analyses the criminal behaviour of the accused and his identity, which help in linking the evidences and reach the offender faster.
Tehlak said that all police members are equipped with forensic analysis which is used to collect data from an area where a crime takes place. This helps in preventing more crimes in the same area by detecting the criminal behaviour, he pointed out.
Meanwhile, Tehlak added that 15,000 meals are being distributed daily to residents in Naif area in cooperation with some partners, and the number of new Covid-19 cases is negligible.
