The Fujairah Police have arrested a 23-year-old Pakistani national for allegedly stabbing a 39-year-old Emirati woman of Jordanian origin to death. The suspect also stabbed two of her children - 11-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son - and maid.
A police official said the suspect was arrested within 30 minutes after committing the crime. The police received a call at the operations room at 3am about the crime. A police team rushed to the house of the victim and found all the family members and the maid bleeding heavily. The woman was already dead. The police rushed the children and the maid to hospital and shifted the body of the mother to forensic laboratory.
A team of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officials launched an investigation, which resulted in the arrest of the suspect in 30 minutes. The police are currently interrogating the suspect to know about the motive behind his crime.
Major-General Mohammed bin Ghanem, Commander-in-Chief of the Fujairah Police, hailed the efforts of the CID team in arresting the suspect in a record time.
