The Sharjah Police have busted a gang of three Pakistanis who allegedly carried out a spate of robberies at commercial outlets.
The police said they received a complaint about a robbery at an electronic outlet in the Sharjah industrial area.
The police dispatched a team of forensic experts, patrols and crime scene experts who lifted fingerprints and evidence.
Based on the CCTV images and the evidence, the police managed to identify the suspects.

The police raided their residence and seized large number of smartphones, laptops and various valuables which they allegedly stole from various electronics and mobile outlets.
During interrogation, the suspects confessed to crimes.
The Sharjah Police have initiated a plan to decrease the number of thefts by 80 per cent in 2017, said a senior official, adding that this would not be achieved without the cooperation of the public, who must inform the authorities about any suspicious movement of people around commercial areas and warehouses. He said it has been noticed that a number of people are not reporting thefts, because of lack of time and low value of the stolen items.
Lt. Col. Faisal bin Nassar, Deputy Director of Criminal Investigation Department at the Sharjah Police, urged commercial outlet managements not to keep cash and precious items in the shops and to ensure the security of the outlets by installing CCTV cameras linked to the early detection system at the police operation room. This would make it easy for the police to intervene before the crime takes place, he said.

"The early theft detection system links commercial outlets with the operation room and has contributed in preventing major robberies."
The police are also working on an awareness campaign to educate the business owners on how to secure their premises and prevent crimes.
