Sharjah Police have arrested two Asian drug dealers who were planning to traffic 3kg of marijuana.
Lieutenant Colonel Majid Al Asm, deputy director of the Anti-Narcotic Department at Sharjah Police, said that the drug dealers were nabbed while they were looking for buyers to sell narcotics.
Acting on a tip-off, a security team was formed to launch a probe and nab the suspects before they could sell the drugs.
"We swooped on the house which the dealers were using to store the drugs and arrested the peddlers red-handed while they were selling it to two Asians. After arresting the dealers, we found 3.4kg of marijuana and a device used to measure the drugs.
The arrested dealers have confessed to the crime and will be referred to the public prosecution.
