Though M Whaley went for a duck, brilliantly caught by Adil off the bowling of Shiv, the next batsman C Fellows gave good company to the rampaging Wilkinson. While chasing,Adnaan Kamil Khanand Shiv gave a promising opening partnership to the Dubai team, but the rest of the batsmen caved in quite cheaply. Adnaan made an entertaining 37 off 22 balls, while Shiv made a well-composed 47.
Later, only Sairaj made a useful contribution of 15, while the other batsmen succumbed to Durham’s brilliant bowling.
Fellows posed the main threat, as he took four wickets for just 25 runs in devastating spell of six overs. “Today, bowlers accuracy was missing. The Durham side fielded well. Our running between the wickets was also not well,” said YTCA coach Prosanta Chanda.
Meanwhile, in another 30-over match played at the same ground on Sunday, Madanlal Cricket Academy registered a thumping 87-run victory over Zayed Cricket Academy.
Batting first, the New Delhi-based team scored 234 runs in their 30 overs. Swastik Sikka was the top scorer with 74, while his opening partner made 38. Mahir Bhalla scored 43 while Karan Vir chipped in with an useful 24.
