G Force outplay Young Talent
SHARJAH - Zamin Jaleel smashed a blistering 86 to steer G Force to a fine six-wicket victory over Young Talent in a under-16 match of the Sharjah Inter-Academy Tournament, organized by the Sharjah Cricket Council, a press release said.
Zamin was well supported by Kurt, who made 34, as G Force overhauled Young Talent’s competitive score of 166 for five in 17.2 overs. Earlier, Ruben Abrahan (73) and Umer Khalid (28) batted well to propel Young Talent to a healthy score, but their bowlers failed to defend the total.
Max Way walked away with a comfortable eight-wicket win over ECT Sharjah with almost 15 overs to spare while ECT Dubai got the better of MCC Zayed by four wickets in other matches. Desert Cubs dominated their match against Sharjah Academy before registering a big 62-run win.
Hussam Badi bowled brilliantly for ECT Dubai, taking four wickets for just 19 runs to set up a nice win for his side. Max Way owed their win over ECT Sharjah to Joy who scored a fine unbeaten knock of 50.
