With the numbers of coronavirus cases rising of late, the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, Lt General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, has urged members of public to fully observe preventive measures.
“Everybody was compliant by 100 per cent,” he said, before adding that the recent increase in the number of reported infections are to be blamed on gatherings and visits between relatives and friends, particularly during special occasions.
“All members of the society need to stick to preventive measures by 100 per cent, particularly as the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic is still on.”
The UAE government has given all support – be it financial, psychological or logistical, Lt-Gen Al Marri underlined.
“It’s time to pay back part of the debt to the Government by at least observing preventive measures and health protocols.”
Earlier, he urged everyone in the UAE to take the coronavirus vaccine.
“The UAE authorities have not spared any efforts in fighting the virus that has infected more than 96 million people worldwide.”
“People are advised to take the vaccine to get immunity against the virus, and control the pandemic.”
Four days back, Lt-Gen Al Marri received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine, as the Dubai Media office posted a photo of him receiving the vaccine on Monday.
