THE ATLANTIS DIVE Centre has launched on The Palm, offering scuba programmes to match all skill levels.
The five-star centre, as accredited by the Professional Association of Diving Instructors, (PADI), will teach both resort guests and visitors how to dive – with the courses offering various qualifications depending on your goals.
Non-divers can participate in the Discover Scuba Diving course, which will guide them through the basics alongside a PADI instructor and includes a pool and ocean dive.
Certified PADI divers can enjoy a half-day trip in the Arabian Gulf aboard a 37-foot ‘Seamaster’ powerboat. Beginning at 8.15am, the 10-person trip includes two ocean dives at 15 different dive sites, including man-made reefs, shipwrecks off the coast of Dubai and the magnificent Musandam.
Qualified divers can also choose to broaden their experience with advanced and specialty diving courses including deep diving, night diving, wreck diving and underwater photography.
Younger guests can enter the Atlantis Junior Programmes including The Seal Team (age eight-plus) and the Bubblemaker (age eight to ten).
In The Seal Team programme, guests are introduced to activities such as underwater photography, navigation and environmental awareness, with the aim of becoming a certified PADI Seal Team diver. The Bubblemaker programme takes place in the Zero Entry Pool and lets guests discover the thrill of scuba diving.
