It was a different Eid Al Fitr to remember last night as Flash Entertainment delivered on its promise to create unmissable moments by uniting music fans from across the GCC in an unforgettable virtual socially distant concert, 'Flash Live; Eid Celebrations' in partnership with Abu Dhabi's media and entertainment hub, twofour54.
Hosted by presenter Kris Fade, singer and songwriter Danny Aridi opened the show with his ballads "Arms of a Woman" and "Fool for You" accompanied by a stunning guitar solo. Up next, Emirati soul sensation Abri showcased his powerful vocals with "Nature". Celebrations continued as Yasalam's 2018 Emerging Talent Competition winner FAFA delivered a rousing version of her song "Feels Like Home", while singer Moh Flow x A'y performed fan favourite "Options" and "All the Way".
Jazz was next on the menu, as Esquire Middle East 'Music Artist of the Year' winner Layla Kadran sang some of her biggest hits including "Closer" and "Goddess".
Ending on a high note, rapper Freek delivered a stellar set of his hit tracks "Shuwaya" and "Wala Kilma", bringing the curtain down on an epic evening and marking Flash Entertainment's first ever virtual show.
Speaking after the show, John Lickrish, CEO of Flash Entertainment said: "Tonight was a very proud moment for me. Proud of the diverse group of artists who performed on our first ever virtual stage and proud of the Flash Entertainment and twofour54 team for rallying in these circumstances to deliver a new entertainment concept for the region. It's important we keep the music industry alive and now look ahead to explore what entertainment we can provide the region in our new world, and look forward to updating you soon."
The socially distant concert also supported essential workers who have risked their lives during the current health and economic challenges by allowing viewers to contribute to The Authority of Social Contribution - Ma'an's 'Together We Are Good' programme via the togetherwearegood.ae website.
