the final move to pacify Bhansali, the maverick filmmaker decided to talk out. "I am not here to talk about my film Saanwariya," he started off speaking to an overzealous television reporter. "I want to be there for my friend and brother Ismail. We have had a long association and he has given music to two of my films Devdas and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and he even got a national award for Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. I am happy that he has decided to launch his music album," he added. Bhansali was in a rocking mood as he proceeded to talk about their association. "Ismail even promised to make me a singer though this album, but I guess since I did not offer him the music of Saanwariya, he did not let me sing," he joked. But then, when asked to why he did not give the music of Saanwariya to Ismail, Bhansali preferred to dodge the question. "Let's not talk about that now. It is Ismail's moment of glory. Let us dwell only about his music," he said.

Bhansali says that Ismail is his favourite music composer in the current generation. "That's why because his music has shades of Laxmikant Pyarelal, Hridaynath Mangeshkar who are my favourite music composers of all time and he represents that kind of music," said Bhansali.

The filmmaker remembers the day when he had signed on Ismail Darbar. I remember it was March 16, 1997. And today exactly ten years later, I am here coming and launching the music of Rasiya Saajan. Ismail has also surprised me by gifting me a statuette of Krishna who is the biggest Rasiya of them all. I am touched by Ismail's gesture. We are very close to each other and thus fight a lot as well. But like true friends, we have to keep patching up as we have to entertain people with some great music and good movies," added Bhansali.
