Former love still hounds Jen

JENNYLYN MERCADO and Mark Herras, Pinoy showbiz's ex-lovers and bankable love-team, graced the first Philippine Community Day that was held at the Le Lumieres Even Hall in Osaka, Japan on December 2.

jhenThey were joined by singer-comedian and TV host Arnell Ignacio. The event was organised by the Philippine Consulate General in Osaka in cooperation with IPS, GMA Pinoy TV and Philippine Air Lines. It was also the first time that the former lovebirds flew to Japan.

"We were excited about the trip, only that we didn't have time to tour the city because we arrived at night and the event was held the following day. Then the next day, Monday morning, we went back to Manila," says Mark.

The young actor admits that even if Jennylyn is no longer his girlfriend, he still cares for her as a friend. "Of course, I do care and because we've been together in showbiz and because our loveteam still exists," he says.

Their fans are jubilant that their recent reunion in 'Magpakailanman' was rated very well. Because of this, they'll be paired again in the TV remake of the Sharon Cuneta-Gabby Concepcion film, 'My Only Love' (their third movie after 'Dear Heart' and 'P.S. I Love You'.

Says Jennylyn: "I was told by Direk Louie about this project, but no official notice yet from GMA. The other one is a film about the nursing profession, 'Nars,' where she co-stars with Jodie Sta. Maria, Agot Isidro, newcomer Jon Avila, and Coco Martin. This is directed by Adolfo Alix, Jr, who did acclaimed works like

'Donsol' and 'Kadin'.
