DANCE UNDER THE shimmer of the moonlight tonight at Noir at the Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates. The hotel's hotspot is set to host its first Full Moon Party which is to be held from now on once a month during, you've guessed it, a full moon.
January's moon is traditionally known as the Wolf Moon, so a selection of exclusive signature beverages, such as 'The Wolf', will be the drink of choice. The Latin American and Asian fusion menu will also tantalise any palate, with highlights including Noir Tempura, Wagyu Tataki Beef and Scallop Tiradito.

Dress to impress in black as the night oozes chic style, guaranteed to keep guests enthralled throughout the evening and feeling glamourous. Enter the venue in elegance as you make your way down the black carpet into the decadent sur-roundings of the custom design venue set to transport you to the 'speak easy' move-ment of 1920s USA. The Full Moon Party will be taking place tonight from 8pm-2am at Noir, located at level two of the Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates. To book a table or make a reservation call: 04 409 5222 or email info@noir-dubai.com
The evening's vibe will be set by resident DJ Lesha Sky, spinning a mix of retro, deep house, and nova jazz. The decks will then be taken over by renowned international guest DJ David Herrero. David's eclectically crafted sound has transformed the global underground scene, having released over 200 tracks and remixes with many more to come.
Here we speak to the artist.
What sounds will you bring to Noir? What can the crowd expect from one of your sets?
I always like to bring a mixture of sounds to my sets, so I can please everyone in the crowd. On this occasion, I'm going to produce a session with some more deep sounds - This will set the mood and create a perfect vibe for the venue.
How does it feel to play in Dubai compared to the other venues you have played?
Dubai is always very exciting for me - I love the atmosphere of the city! To be playing at one of the city's best new nightspots is a great feeling. When you're playing at an incredible venue such as Noir, it's hard not to feel privileged.
What is your opinion on the UAE's DJ scene?
I think it has grown rapidly in recent years and there are now so many interational DJs making regular appearances. The music scene is constantly growing and there's a growing demand for more.
Who are your influences and favourite artists right now?
I have always had many influences throughout my career, but people like Richie Hawtin, David Mancuso, Frankie Knuckles, Louie Vega and Kevin Saunderson have all given me the most inspiration.
Is there a genre of music you'd never touch? Do you think there is a formula to making a hit?
Never say never! I wouldn't say there was a particular formula, because it differs with each type of beat, but you can't go wrong by starting with house then going from deep to techno. I usually keep in a sense of groove as the main weapon!
What is the best type of music/ song to get the party started and one to close the night?
To start, you need an elegant track with a lot of feeling, to pull in the emotions of the crowd. Always close with a strong track and leave your audience feeling the buzz!
What is your ultimate musical ambition?
I love how music can create or highten any mood you're in. If you're having a bad day, music can help you relax. If you're in a good mood, it can lift your spirits even more. I just want people to be able to listen to my music and let it take them away from everyday life.
It is always a pleasure to play in Dubai too. Come see me at Noir this Saturday - thanks for listening!
