Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan Minister of Education was the chief guest at the event.
Speaking at the Press conference, Latifa Fikri, Business Development Manager, Etisalat-Dubai region, said: "Etisalat welcomes this opportunity to contribute to a worthwhile initiative. She noted that the Corporation has laid down the modern telecommunications infrastructure in this country and in doing so has created a solid foundation for a knowledge rich and technology savvy society — achievements we can be proud of. This year, Etisalat is offering a spectacular entertainment and serious learning options for children and families. Etisalat has taken our efforts to reach out to customers in a diverse and a very welcoming approach.
The corporation will be organising a number of interactive activities for children during the Knowledge Surprises week. These will include live broadcast within Wafi using web Cameras "Video streaming", Child finder demonstrations, cell broadcast messaging to Wafi visitors, picture sharing, tones, logos using MMS, SMS/Interactive games, telephone museum and video conferencing (video calls between mobile handsets).
