Indian business community based in the UAE turned up in huge numbers at Abu Dhabi Global Market to participate in a panel discussion on India's Budget 2017 on Saturday evening.
Khaleej Times and its partners, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (Abu Dhabi Chapter) and the Indian Business and Professional Group, brought the UAE's best business brains together with regulatory and taxation experts to explore the vision behind India's Budget 2017.
Moderated by media personality Shazia Ilmi, our distinguished panel of experts included Supreme Court of India advocate Homi Ranina, NMC Group's B.R. Shetty, LuLu Financial Group's Adeeb Ahamed and Deloitte's Jimit Devani.
They hailed India's Finance Minister Arun Jaitley's budget as a game-changer and a reform- and growth-driven roadmap to catapult the economy to a higher growth trajectory. They discussed in great detail how the budget would impact businesses in the UAE and how changes in personal and corporate tax rates would affect us.
Hundreds from the business community participated in the event and established India's roadmap for the future.
