Wataniya signs eight roaming deals

DUBAI - Wataniya Telecom, Kuwait, has launched eight new General Packet Radio Services (GPRS) and Multi- Media Messaging Services (MMS) roaming agreements with Singapore's Starhub, Jordan's Mobilecom, Bahrain's Batelco, Hong Kong's CSL, UAE's Etisalat, Orange from UK, Philippines' Smart Communications and T-Mobile of USA. With voice roaming services covering over 250 partner mobile operators in more than 108 countries worldwide.

Fuad Al Ablani, Wataniya's Deputy General Manager said: "We are pleased to provide Wataniya customers access to the full range of Action services when travelling outside Kuwait. From sending photo messages to accessing the Internet and their emails, customers are now able to share moments using MMS and GPRS and stay in touch with family, friends and colleagues using the most advanced features available on their mobiles today."

Through these roaming agreements, customers of Wataniya Telecom, Starhub, T-Mobile, Etisalat, Batelco, Orange, Smart Communications, Mobilecom and CSL subscribers will be able to access their GPRS and MMS services when roaming in either country.
