UAE-based property developer Eagle Hills and Temes, a high-end tourism and real estate developer in Greece, will jointly develop a mixed-use resort project in Greece at a cost of ?500 million euros (Dh2.14 billion), it was announced on Saturday.
Spread of 1.8 million sqm of land in the eastern Messinia region of Greece, the facility will house signature sports and recreation facilities, entertainment, and golf course and a themed community of second-home properties, the UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said in a statement on its website.
The announcement was made following the second UAE-Greece Strategic Cooperation Forum, which was held virtually and jointly chaired by Dr Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and Adonis Georgiadis, Greece's Minister of Development and Investments. They also discussed political cooperation, international humanitarian development, trade and investments, culture, energy, digital cooperation and agriculture.
The UAE's ministerial delegation included Abdulrahman bin Mohammad Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention and Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs; Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Youth; Ohoud bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and the Future; Dr Ahmad bin Abdullah Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and SMEs; and Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade.
The subcommittee track was chaired by senior officials from both sides, with more than 70 representatives of the public and private sectors in both countries.
