The international two-day National Achievers Congress, taking place for the first time in the Middle East, was inaugurated today by Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development.
In its 23rd year, The National Achievers Congress brings together a renowned list of global achievers and influencers that aim to inspire and encourage participants to follow their dreams. The combination of speakers at the Congress provides participants with the comprehensive key tools and insights required to succeed in any business.
During his opening speech, Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan addressed the importance of creating a new generation of entrepreneurs in the Middle East and how this impacts the overall economy of the region. He said "Entrepreneurs inevitably advance their new ideas beyond familiar and safe boundaries. That concept is familiar to you if you live and work in the United Arab Emirates. This is a country defined by entrepreneurship. You are working and living in a country that naturally welcomes entrepreneurs and thrives on their successes."
Some of the projects on display at the congress were registered entrepreneurs with Dubai SME, the Strategic Government Partner mandated to develop the small and medium enterprise (SME) sector, as part of Najahi's commitment to encourage and inspire SMEs in the UAE, as well as equip them with the tools and skills required to succeed in their endeavours. Najahi brings the world's leading speakers in personal empowerment, financial education and leadership skills to the Middle East.
During the first day of the congress, the author of the best-selling personal finance book in the world, Robert Kiyosaki, took the stage and addressed the importance of 'financial literacy' and provided participants the tools to help them manage their income and generate 'passive income'. Kiyosaki also shed light on the difference between good debts and bad debts, how to overcome challenges and the opportunities to strive for in the coming year. Ali Al Saloom highlighted the formula for inter-cultural tolerance, the secrets of human communications and how this can help to make you a better person.
Internet-mogul Pen Joon later shed light on how to create an online empire as he shared valuable tools along with a 3-step system to use when trading and running an e-commerce business.
The event was designed to provide participants with an educational yet engaging experience. The Congress had an 'edutainment' concept where participants took part in various activities whilst learning best practice from renowned mentors in the process.
