Istithmar plans $1b investment
DUBAI — Dubai-based Istithmar investment holding company is planning to invest $1 billion in various projects around the world in the next two years, a senior official of the company said yesterday.
Speaking to Khaleej Times on the sidelines of the Real Estate Investment World Conference, which is under way in Dubai, he said that Istithmar currently had some 32 projects in hand, which are in the negotiations stage.
“During the last two years, we have invested $1 billion in various projects, of which 40 per cent are in the AGCC and the rest outside. We are going to invest another $1 billion in new projects and of this 10 per cent will be invested in the existing projects, while the rest will go to the new ones,” he said.
