Imation Launches New Multimedia Player Series
DUBAI - Imation, a leading global developer and marketer of branded products that enable people to capture, save and enjoy digital information, has announced the launch of a series of new Home Theatre entertainment products, which support high definition video output (up-scaling to 1080I) for better picture quality and standard 3.5 and 2.5 inch, serial ATA (SATA) HDD for the ever-increasing storage demand for digital contents.
Unlike other external hard drives available in the market, the new Imation Multimedia HDD player not only operates as a USB 2.0 Hi-Speed SATA external hard disk drive but also allows the user to browse and play back the entire media library directly through a televsion or HomeTheatre system.
Kiran Nair, Channel Development Manager for Imation Middle East said, “The new Multimedia 3.5” Hard Disk Player, when connected to a PC, is just like a USB 2.0 external hard drive. Users can manage the contents easily with a PC. The internal 3.5” hard drive can be formatted to either NTFS or FAT32. Users can create folders to store home video, music, or photos on the internal hard disk with a PC, and then immediately playback the contents on TV.”
The Multimedia 2.5” Hard Disk Player comes with a more compact and slim design. The internal 2.5” hard drive makes it a better choice in portable applications.
With movies, photos, and music stored on the multimedia player, simply connect it to a TV set or Home Theatre system via the A/V cable provided, and view the media contenton TV.
Both HD players feature the most powerful Xvid external subtitle support.
