He hoped that the Gulf Incentive, Business Travel and Meetings (GIBTM) exhibition which concluded in Abu Dhabi would be instrumental in giving Abu Dhabi a place which it deserves in the world meetings, incentives, conferences and events (MICE) industry.

"The launch of the first GIBTM at Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Centre (ADNEC) is opening a new era for tourism in Abu Dhabi and the region alike which have discovered the fast growing of the promising tourism sector," he said.

According to him, Abu Dhabi has great potentials of incentives necessary to lure major international players.

Abu Dhabi, Ali Al Hosni said, was planning to launch a series of initiatives and projects to mirror its profile in the international tourism industry. "The emirate is now drawing the attention of the world following its marked growth rates in tourism and related sectors," he noted.
