Etisalat on Wednesday announced the opening of its 'Open Innovation Center' in Dubai, which will help to drive digital transformation by enabling the use of the latest technologies such as IoT and cloud solutions.
The center showcases digital innovation, its capabilities and how digitalisation can come to life for all of Etisalat's customers and partners. These businesses will have the opportunity to experience Etisalat's portfolio of solutions applied to real-world scenarios and get a comprehensive view of technologies that deliver concrete business outcomes.
Speaking to Khaleej Times at the opening, Abeer Nijmeh, senior director of Business Strategy and Open Innovation at Etisalat Digital, said that the whole purpose of the center is to enhance engagement. "The idea of this space is to showcase our digital solutions to our customers, who get to experience how our services suit their needs. They can view demos that include how we have helped some of our previous customers, especially those in the government and private sectors. There is also an innovation lab since Etisalat is now working more and more with startups."
"The technologies that we are showcasing are those that make up our value proposition," she added. "As a teleco, we started with mobility which is our strength in the region; followed by cloud solutions, cyber and network security solutions, digital marketing solutions, digital payment solutions, and IoT. All of these technologies combined form our integrated vertical or industry solutions."
Etisalat's initiative is also in line with the UAE Vision 2021, where the national innovation strategy has identified digital technology as one of the top seven primary national sectors.
"In today's digital age, it is essential to show how innovative solutions can be applied in the business environment and become a digital reality. Etisalat's corporate strategy is focused on 'Driving the Digital Future to empower the society' across our customers and enabling them with solutions and services on this digital journey. The opening of this center will set a benchmark in the industry by focusing on delivering solutions that create growth opportunities for governments and businesses by incorporating digital technologies to serve their customers in this digital era," said Saleh Al Abdooli, Group CEO of Etisalat.
Etisalat's Open Innovation Center highlights all the key digital technologies that will give businesses the capability to drive the digital future. This ultramodern facility features the latest solutions, an interactive technology demonstration lab, where Etisalat customers and partners can witness the showcase of these services and technologies. The center will have access to the best digital experts, digital assets and platforms with digital value propositions focusing on mobility, cloud, datacentres, digital security, digital marketing, digital payments, M2M and IoT.
