The CEVA Logistics facility supplies spare parts for the expanding Embraer executive jet fleet in the Middle East, as well as support customers in North Africa and India.

“This achievement further confirms Embraer’s policy to work as closely as possible to its customers in each region,” said Edson Carlos Mallaco, Embraer Vice-President, Customer Support and Services for Embraer Executive Jets.

The Brazilian plane-maker currently maintains stock of spare parts for Legacy 600 and Lineage 1,000 in Dubai. It will be expanded to support Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 jets in 2010 as deliveries grow in the region. Around 3,000 parts are available at its facility to quickly meet needs of customers and authorized service centres.

Embraer expects to sell more than 10,000 jets worth $190 billion over the next 10 years. “The whole aircraft manufacturing industry is being affected by the global economic crisis. We see some recovery next year and 2011 will be a stronger year,” Claudio Camelier, Vice-President, Market Intelligence, Executive Jet, said.

Camelier said that more than 50 Phenom jets are in operation worldwide. The company is promoting its full line of commercial jets, including 37-50 seat ERJ 145 family and the Embraer 170/190 family of E-Jets, with 70 to 122 seats, at the Dubai Airshow.

The ultra-large Lineage 1000 and the super midsize Legacy 600 executive jets are also at the static display area, as well as the entry level Phenom 100, which made its debut in the Middle East.

Embraer, which has operations in Brazil, Singapore and China, earned $6.3 billion in 2008. The company expects nine per cent market share this year.
