Saudi Arabian Rashid Al Nafii became an instant hero on social media after petrol station footage hit the internet, that showed him pulling a burning car away from petrol pump
According to Arab News, the CCTV footage posted on YouTube was of a petrol station in Al Zulfi, about 260km from Riyadh. The man was honoured and given a financial reward by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif for averting a catastrophe. The award was presented by general director of the civil defense in Riyadh.
Media reports say Al Nafii used a rope to tow away the blazing vehicle from the pumps, as employees struggled to douse the flame. Soon after the civil defense were able to put out the fire with no injuries to civilians.
