The late Dubai Police Chief Lt. Gen. Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina has been laid to rest earlier today in Al Qusais Graveyard.
Al Mazeina who died due to a heart attack last Thursday evening was still present at the Government Innovations ceremony organised by the Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Government Innovation, the same day when he passed away.
Social media has been overflowing with condolences towards the bereaved even extending up to the royal family with condolences coming from His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai as well as Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. The UAE community meanwhile gathered in solidarity in commemorating the late police chief through a tremendous number of Facebook, Twitter and even Instagram posts.
The prayers for Al Mazeina was also led by Shaikh Mohammed who was accompanied by Crown Prince Hamdan, Maktoum bin Mohammed and Saif Bin Zayed.
