A man from India's Karnataka won hearts online when he quit his job and took his mother on a 48,100km tour on a scooter. The 39-year-old man also caught the attention of Indian business tycoon Anand Mahindra, who offered him a new car so that the mother-son duo can travel in a four-wheeler instead.
A video of D Krishna Kumar travelling with his mother on his 20-year-old scooter was shared by Twitter user Manoj Kumar. The short video shows the elderly woman riding pillion as she travelled to Arunachal Pradesh with her son, according to reports in The Indian Express.
The Twitter user also wrote a caption along with the footage:'This is a Gap Year I wish I had! Dakshinmurthy Krishna Kumar from Mysore left his banking job and travelled with his mom on a scooter. A total of 48,100 KMs. The reason? His mother had not stepped out of her town and he wished to show her India!'
