A massive fire broke out in a black vehicle parked at a home in Ras Al Khaimah's Al Rams area on Monday morning.
Unable to ascertain the cause of the fire at the time of filing this report, official sources with the RAK civil defence said that the SUV had caught fire all of a sudden in the house close to Al Rams medical centre.
"The flames first started under the bonnet of the car, and quickly engulfed the entire car."
The central operations room of the RAK Police immediately dispatched firefighters, an ambulance, paramedics and rescue teams to the site - after being alerted of the blaze.
"Firefighters managed to put out the fire without any human casualties, which started in the front side and spread to the entire car."
The well-trained firefighters put out the flames using water and foam, they stated.
