Vicco Laboratories, which has successfully carved a niche for itself in dental and skin care globally, exports products to several countries around the world, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
"All our products are freely available and aplenty in supermarkets and markets in the UAE," says Sanjeev Pendharkar, Director, Vicco Laboratories. "This is done through a chain of stockists and wholesalers."
According to him, stocks get easily exhausted because of the growing demand from the region. "We dispatch 20 containers a year. Knowing the demand, we will soon be sending a few more containers," says Pendharkar.
Demand for Vicco products is soaring in the UAE because of the trust consumers have in the brand, he notes. "They appreciate and like the quality of our products. They know that, with Vicco, they have the best in the world."
Vicco products are Ayurvedic, free from impurities, and using them never creates any side effects. "We use medical herbs in their preparations. We have over 100 acres of land where we grow these medicinal plants and herbs," he explains.
Consumers in Dubai and elsewhere in the UAE always prefer the best products. "Our products meet this requirement," Pendharkar adds. Among these, the Vicco Turmeric Skin Cream and Vicco Narayani Cream - both pure Ayurvedic products - are doing very well.
Elderly people prefer to use Vicco Narayani for relief from joint pains, especially knee joints. "It acts fast and the relief is instant. In fact, people of all ages can use this Narayani cream. Similarly, this can be easily said about our other products as well, as they are equally good in quality," he says.
The amazing response from consumers is encouraging the company to introduce new products to the market. The Vicco Moisturising Cream will be one of them, which will soon enter the market.
"It is not just Gulf countries alone where we are doing fine," says Pendharkar. "We export our products to almost 40 countries in the world, and each year the number is increasing."
This includes the U.S., U.K., Germany, Japan, France, South Africa, and most neighbouring countries around India. "Exports to these countries are picking up rapidly, but the performance of Gulf countries is outstanding," he notes.
Pendharkar visits Dubai and other places in the region frequently and interacts with business people and government authorities. "I enjoy my visits; each visit gives me new friends and new business opportunities," he says.
