A massive fire gutted a truck on Dubai's Umm Suqiem Road behind Mall of the Emirates.
The truck went up to flames on Tuesday evening at around 5.50pm, causing explosions. A crowd gathered near the truck as loud explosions could be heard and smoke engulfed the area.
Many school children also gathered from the school nearby.
However, civil defense arrived within minutes and put out the fire. The truck was fully burnt.
An onlooker on the site, Javed, said, "The explosions sounded like a bomb."
"It's a big fire. The fire spread really fast all over the truck," another eye witness added.
"Hope no one got hurt," said one 12-year-old boy.
A Dubai Civil Defense officer on the scene said no one was hurt. The cause of the fire is unknown.
