Customers who use smart channels to pay their bills or service fees for government services stand to win big in Dubai. The Department of Finance has allocated Dh1 million as cashback rewards for those using mobile apps and websites to carry out their transactions.
This is part of the 'week without service centres' initiative that began today.
Service centres of 40 governmental and semi-governmental entities, along with a number of private entities, in Dubai, have stopped executing transactions requiring payment of fees for more than 1,100 services.
Employees of these centres will guide customers to conduct transactions, pay bills and fines, and pay government service fees through smart channels.
