Many schools are yet to shift from villas to buildings suitable for education, and continue to have classrooms even in kitchens of these villas. We dare say that nobody can recognise these villas as places of education till one closely observes the school's board.

But it was made clear yesterday that such schools will not be allowed to take any further advantage of this grace period, with General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, stating in no uncertain terms that schools not fully equipped and functioning out of unsuitable premises would attract very strict action.

It is up to the Private Education Department to take action and put an end to such practices, which affect the educational process in the country. Juma Al Salami, the Assistant Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Education for Private Education should move and strictly implement the instructions of Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed.
