Software for observing space

ABU DHABI — Let’s look at the planets, their numbers and different colours, a phrase once said by the famous Arab astronomer Al Qazwini in his book The Wonders of Creation, now, it’s been turned into reality by Shaikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre in the Capital.

The centre launched on Monday at Emirates Palace the unique astronomical software ‘Star Walk’, which is the first of its kind in Arabic in the region and has unique high-quality features for all those who are interested in space.

Latest Arabic software gives insights on observation of planets, stars and the of Muslims in astronomy. The software is accessible to iPhone and iPad users and available at iTunes store. Announcing the detail of the software, Talal Al Mazrouei, Director of Cultural Events and Activities at the centre, said: “This scientific revolution in the fields of communications and astronomy is now available to Arab students and scholars.” anwar@khaleejtimes.com
