Shaikh Nahyan inaugurates ‘Oasis of Shaikh Zayed’
DUBAI — Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Higher Education and Chancellor of Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) inaugurated the ‘Oasis of Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan’ at the HCT Dubai campus in commemoration of the late founding father of the UAE.
The dedicated section celebrates the achievements of the late Shaikh Zayed on the sixth anniversary of his death. “We do believe that Shaikh Zayed’s soul is always with us... He was the best teacher for all Emaratis and Arabs,” Shaikh Nahyan said in remarks at the ceremony. “He provided opportunities and facilities for the UAE youth to obtain high qualifications,” he added.
Shaikh Nahyan also opened a corner, at the HCT Dubai College’s library, dedicated for translated books donated by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. —
