DUBAI - A small helicopter found in a shipment at the Jebel Ali Customs Centre is for recreational purposes and usually used by amateur flyers in aviation clubs, a senior Dubai Customs officials said on Monday.
“It is unlikely that the plane is meant to be used for terrorist or criminal acts,” Ahmed Mahboub Musabah, Executive Director of Customers Services at the Dubai Customs, said. “The news about possibility of using the plane for terrorist or criminal purposes is exaggerated and baseless. This type of two-seater helicopters has a very limited and very low-flying range.”
