An 8-year-old child has been hailed a hero for saving his mother from drowning in Saudi Arabia.
According to local media reports, the boy - Mohammed Ali Al Shahrani - was staying with his family in a suite in Saudi's Jazan area. His mother was walking by the pool when she suddenly slipped into the pool.
Knowing that his mother doesn't know how to swim, Al Shahrani immediately jumped into the water and pulled her out with the help of the pool's ladder.
The school honoured him for saving his mother.
In recognition of his honesty and integrity, Dubai police awarded Ali Jamal Al Balushi with a certificate of appreciation
