The 2024 race has seen more twists than a Hollywood blockbuster
Something akin to this was dished out to the family of Jaffer Ali, when the members sat down for a snack after a shopping spree at Carrefour at Century Mall in Dubai.
The family picked up, among other things, a loaf of bread, a must in their shopping list from Carrefour.
"On reaching home, my wife was serving the sliced bread to my children, when suddenly she found something white lodged in the piece of bread," Ali alleged, stating that it came from the bread they had picked up at Carrefour. A closer examination revealed that it was a piece from latex gloves.
Nabil Fayad, HR and Administration Manager, Carrefour Hypermarket at Century Mall, said on the incident : "It is a mistake for which we apologise and we assure that such a mistake was not meant to happen.”
