The Ras Al Khaimah Charity Foundation has contributed Dh334,800 for feeding 930 poor and low-income workers with the department of public works and services here.
The move, in response to the 'Year of Giving' initiative launched by the President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, .
"Up to 930 free meals; four times a month, will be contributed to the poor for one full year under the charity initiative," said Abdulaziz Abdullah Al Zaabi, Chairman of the RAK Charity Foundation.
"The meals, to be contributed every Friday till the end of the year, stand at Dh334,800."
