Prepare Arab youngsters for leadership roles: Mohammed

DUBAI — His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, met here yesterday a delegation from the Young Arab Leaders, headed by its Chairman Saeed Al Muntafiq.

The delegation also included members of YAL’s board of directors and heads of its chapters in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Jordan, Palestine and Lebanon.

Shaikh Mohammed urged YAL members to engage actively in preparing and encouraging Arab youth to lead and make change. He also called on the board of directors to contribute in developing skills of Arab youth and to exchange expertise, knowledge and best practices. Shaikh Mohammed also stressed the importance of holding dialogue among different civilisations to foster a culture of peace, equality and mutual respect.
