Next time you visit the iconic 3.7km-long Marina Drive promenade, don't forget to take a stop to marvel at the plush toilet.
This week, a new toilet was opened on Marina Drive in South Mumbai which cost a whopping Rs 94 lakh (approximately Dh 472,500) to be built.
The facility uses solar energy to generate power and used vacuum technology, which reduces the water consumption by 90 per cent. It uses only 0.8 liters per flush, compared to 7 to 8 liters used in regular toilets, according to Indian Express.
A proud day day for Samatech Foundation , The JSW Group, The MCGM and the friends of the project. We announced the completion of Mumbai's first cleantech sanitation facility at Nariman point Marine Drive. This eco friendly public toilet will open for the public on 2nd October 2018 to mark the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. Not a 1crore toilet but a toilet for 1crore citizens! #marinedrivepublictoilet #TeamMDT #samatechfoundation #vacuumsanitation #swacchmumbai #sanitationforall #jsw #sustainability #solarpower #ecofriendly #cortensteel #artdecoView this post on Instagram
