Official sources with the Traffic Department at the MoI told Khaleej Times, applicants from the GCC, who had to pass all driving tests earlier, could change their valid GCC licences after passing the road test soon after getting the UAE residence visas. The procedure has been eased to help the applicants save time, money and effort.

Those who move across the GCC will have no more problems in this regard, the sources said. Only Gulf citizens are entitled to this procedure.
