The Ministry of Culture held an opera show No Limits, inspired by the Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's poem How Beautiful This World Is.
Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, said No Limits was inspired by the late founding father's words. The poem delivers the message of peace and tolerance to the world.
Shaikh Nahyan said the global event held at the National Theatre reflected the love towards Shaikh Zayed and the wise leadership of the UAE. The diverse participation proved this, he added.
An Arabic calligraphy paintings exhibition, done by Emirati artist Nargis Nour Al Dien from Zayed University, was held on the sidelines of the ceremony.
The show saw a performance by a Chinese band specialising in the art of Wo Cho, which relies on muscle control and harmony between the mind and body. The high point was a member of the band reaching the top of the theatre to hoist the UAE flag. Other international bands also took part in the event, which saw ambassadors of Arab and foreign countries in attendance.
