The MoU will widen cooperation between the two bodies in exchange of data and information, and expertise.

It will also imply that a patient would be able to use his identity card when seeking medical treatment, thereby saving time and effort.

The MoU will also help facilitate patients in the process of receiving best medical treatment in the hospitals and clinics affiliated to SEHA, an official source, who did not want to be named, said.

The MoU was signed by Darwish Al Zarouny, Director General of the EIA, and Saif Badr Al Qubaisi, Managing Director of SEHA. The MoU will also help introduce an electronic reader system and a unified system of medical records.
