Mohammed pardons 384
 prisoners

DUBAI — His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, in his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, has ordered the release of 384 prison inmates from the Penal and Correctional Institutions in the emirate of Dubai.

Fifty-three of the released prisoners are Emiratis. Dubai Attorney-General Essam Eisa Al Humaidan congratulated the pardoned prisoners on the advent of Eid Al Adha, thanking Shaikh Mohammed for his humanitarian gesture and keenness as a leader for bringing the families together during the religious and national occasions.

He noted that the Public Prosecution in Dubai has commenced coordination with the Dubai Police to take executive and legal procedures to implement the orders of Shaikh Mohammed so that the released prisoners return to their families ahead of Eid Al Adha to spend the holidays with their loved ones. —
