The Fujairah Civil Defence said that installing smoke detectors in the kitchen was very important, stressing that kitchens are the most inflammable places in a house - and particularly active during the month of Ramadan.
Many things could cause fire, such as a lack of attention, forgetting food on a burning stove or worn out utensils, Emarat Al Youm reported.
